The Indian Fresher Engineering Market
A bird's-eye view, and where to go from here.
Starting Point
Around a tenth of all postings sit at the fresher-accessible level, the entry and junior rungs where a first or near-first job is realistic. That slice is small against the wider market, yet the count of openings here dwarfs what the senior tiers leave open to newcomers. Three labels get blurred in job ads. An internship is a tryout. An entry-level posting is the first paid role, often asking zero years. Fresher-accessible covers both entry and junior, and that is what this page counts.

Promising: Who Lets Freshers In
Top industries by share of own postings at fresher level (fresher-accessibility, not absolute volume).
EdTech and Sales and Marketing Tech open the most doors to freshers, each at around a fifth of their own postings. HR Tech follows close behind at well over a tenth. The common thread is business and learning software, where early hires pick up real work quickly. A good first role is one where the first year counts.
