What is Ingrid?
A career intelligence platform for software engineers in India. Ingrid reads real job postings and surfaces what companies hire for, what they pay, and which skills carry demand across profiles, cities, and company types. See About Ingrid for the longer version.
Where does the data come from?
Every figure is derived from parsed Indian software job postings, classified into profiles, skills, seniority levels, company types, and cities. Ingrid reports rankings and proportions rather than hand-picked single numbers, and states its method on the page wherever the method affects how a figure should be read.
Is Ingrid a job board?
No. Ingrid does not post or sell job listings, and it is not a course platform or a mentorship service. It is a way to read the hiring market. Signed-in users do see a small set of relevant live postings on some pages, but browsing and applying to jobs is not what Ingrid is for.
What is the radar, and is it free?
The radar maps your CV against the 15 software profiles Ingrid tracks and shows where your skills fit today. It is free. You upload a PDF or DOCX, Ingrid extracts your skills and experience, and renders a profile match. Your top match is shown in full.
What is the personalized roadmap?
The roadmap is the paid product. It takes the diagnosis from your radar and the targets you set, and lays out the specific skills to close in the order the market rewards, as a dependency map you work through node by node. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Pricing and terms are confirmed at checkout and set out in the Terms of Service.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to read any of the market-awareness pages. You sign in with Google only when you want to use the radar or buy the roadmap, since both are tied to you. Signing in also unlocks the relevant live postings on market-awareness pages.
What happens to my CV and my data?
Your CV is used to produce your radar and roadmap, and nothing from it is shown publicly. The full detail of what is collected, why, and how long it is kept is in the Privacy Policy.
How accurate is this, and what are the limits?
Ingrid describes the hiring market as it appears in postings. That is a real signal, but it is a signal about what employers advertise, not a guarantee of outcomes. Postings can be reposted, vague, or aspirational, and Ingrid says so where it can detect it. The figures are best read as the shape of demand, not a promise about any single application.
How do I get in touch?
