What CRM and sales tech companies hire for Industry Vertical 14, CRM and sales tech, in Domain IV, Enterprise SaaS and software. The short answer CRM and sales tech companies build the software a sales team uses to win business from other businesses. Their products keep the record of every account and deal, find out which companies are ready to buy and who works there, send the emails and calls that turn a name into a meeting, forecast the quarter, price the quote, answer the buyer's questionnaire and prepare the salesperson with the right content. Hiring here is modest in size and senior in tilt. GenAI engineers are the most common opening, because this is the industry where software agents that write the email, fill in the CRM and draft the proposal arrived earliest. Behind them come JavaScript and Node engineers at ZoomInfo, a large contact database, data, Python and Go engineers at 6sense, an intent-data company, and .NET engineers at Seismic, a sales-content company in Hyderabad. Java, the usual leader at product companies, sits below its usual weight. Who gets hired, and why GenAI JavaScript and Node Java backend Data .NET Test Cloud and DevOps Also present

GenAI engineers. Sales is full of writing and searching, from the cold email and the call summary to the answer to a security questionnaire and the right slide for the next meeting. Language models do this work well, and the companies here sell it as the product itself, not as an extra feature. GenAI engineers build these agents and assistants, mostly at Salesforce, the largest CRM maker, and Seismic. The postings require Python with LangChain and vector databases such as Pinecone and Weaviate, and many require search skills, such as Elasticsearch and semantic search, which finds documents by meaning rather than by exact words. The role is about twice as common here as at a typical product company, and AI work was about level with product companies at the end of 2025 and a larger share of hiring than across product companies in every quarter of 2026.

JavaScript and Node engineers. A contact database serves millions of company and person records to salespeople through fast web services. ZoomInfo builds these services in Node and TypeScript, and it accounts for most of this role here. The postings require NestJS, GraphQL, Redis and MongoDB, and the test side of the same teams requires REST Assured for checking the services. These engineers are several times as common here as at most product companies, and they are hired with experience.

Java backend engineers. Java engineers build the CRM's services, the pipeline and forecasting engines and the pricing systems. They are fewer here than at most product companies, and the postings rarely want Java alone. Many also require Go, Python or Node, with Kafka, PostgreSQL and the main clouds.

Data engineers, and Python and Go backend engineers. Knowing which companies are researching a product before they ever fill in a form, called intent data, means collecting signals from across the web and matching them to accounts. 6sense builds this at large scale. Its data engineers work in Python and Java with Spark, Hive, Presto, EMR and Redshift, and its backend engineers work in Python with Django and FastAPI, or in Go with Cassandra, MongoDB and Elasticsearch. Data engineers are well above their usual weight here, and so are backend engineers who are not tied to one language.

.NET engineers. Seismic, which helps salespeople find and share the right material, builds its platform on C# and .NET with Azure, Kubernetes and Kafka from its centre in Hyderabad. LeadSquared, an Indian CRM maker, also hires .NET engineers. The role takes juniors more readily than most here.

Test engineers. Testing has about its usual place. The newer CRM makers, including SuperAGI, an agentic challenger built in Bengaluru, and the pricing company Vendavo hire most of the testers. The postings require Java with JUnit, Playwright and Selenium, and a good share ask for performance testing with JMeter and LoadRunner.

Cloud and DevOps engineers. Cloud engineers also hold about their usual place, mostly at Salesforce, 6sense and Clari, the forecasting company. The postings require Python and Java alongside AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform, with Spinnaker for releasing software and Grafana and Splunk for watching it run.

Also present. Full-stack engineers who work across React, Vue and Angular, frontend engineers at the newer CRM makers, and a few Salesforce admin-developers.

Rare here. C/C++ systems engineering, firmware and mobile work barely appear.

The skills that set CRM and sales tech apart Agents and searchLangChain, vector databases and semantic search, required in the GenAI postings. Fast services over large recordsNode, TypeScript, NestJS and GraphQL, required in ZoomInfo's postings, and Go with Cassandra and Elasticsearch in 6sense's postings. Signals at scaleSpark, Hive, Presto, EMR and Redshift, required in the data engineering postings. Polyglot backendsJava postings here often require Go, Python or Node as well. What is changing

These readings follow the record quarter by quarter, from October to December 2025, the third quarter of the financial year 2025-26, to July to September 2026, the second quarter of 2026-27. Hiring here is small, so a longer record will show whether they last.

Hiring slowed in July to September 2026about as much as it did across product companies. AI pulled ahead and kept risingFrom January 2026, AI work was a clearly larger share of hiring here than across product companies, and between July and September 2026 GenAI engineers became by far the largest role. Java and Node easedNode's share fell after October to December 2025, and Java's after January to March 2026.
Persistently open roles

A little fewer jobs here are persistently open than across product companies, but two groups stand out.

Node and .NET roles stay open longest. JavaScript and Node jobs are persistently open far more often than the same role elsewhere, and .NET and test jobs also stay open more often than usual. The skills that turn up most often in these jobs are NestJS, GraphQL and REST Assured from ZoomInfo's teams, and C# and .NET from Seismic. ZoomInfo and Seismic are regularly hiring, keeping many of their jobs open again and again. Salesforce rarely does. Frontend, GenAI, Java, cloud and data jobs fill quickly. Frontend jobs here were filled at the first posting in every case. Mid-level and senior roles stay open more often than entry, junior or staff roles. When a job is posted again, its first and last postings are typically about three weeks apart, and rarely more than about eleven weeks.
Where in the Industry Vertical the work is Market Segment 14.2

B2B sales intelligence and ABM platforms hires the most. In The database of buyers, ZoomInfo hires mostly Node engineers. In Intent and the account, 6sense hires data, Python and Go engineers.

Market Segment 14.1

CRM software is next. In The suite, Salesforce hires GenAI, Java and cloud engineers. In India's own CRM and the agentic challenger, the Indian CRM makers hire testers, .NET and frontend engineers.

Market Segment 14.6

Sales enablement platforms is mostly Seismic in Hyderabad, hiring .NET and GenAI engineers.

Market Segment 14.5

CPQ, pricing and RFP software hires less. The proposal and the RFP hires GenAI engineers to draft answers to buyers' questionnaires, and The quote and the price hires Java engineers and testers.

Market Segments 14.3 and 14.4 hire little. The sales-engagement companies in 14.3, like Outreach and Salesloft, hire GenAI, cloud and data engineers, and Clari in 14.4 hires Java, cloud and test engineers.

Some companies listed here have their main home elsewhere. They are HighLevel (Market Segment 13.1, in Industry Vertical 13, Martech) and Conga (Market Segment 10.4, in Industry Vertical 10, ERP and business automation). Their hiring is described where they live, not here.

Bengaluru leads, and Hyderabad is an unusually strong second, through Salesforce's centre there and Seismic, which hires only in Hyderabad. Pune hires a little.

The door

Entry and junior hiring is about the average for product companies, and senior hiring is a little above it.

Seismic takes the most juniors, in .NET and GenAI roles. The newer CRM makers take juniors in testing and frontend, and Salesforce in full-stack roles. Buyer data is hard to enter. ZoomInfo and 6sense hire their Node, data, Python and Go engineers almost entirely with experience.
In one line If you can build GenAI agents, Node services over large data, or data pipelines for buyer signals, sales software is a compact but AI-forward destination, with Hyderabad as well as Bengaluru on the map. Terms used on this page CRM, customer relationship management, is the system of record for a company's customers, contacts and deals. Intent data shows which companies are researching a product, a sign they may be ready to buy. ABM, account-based marketing, aims sales and marketing at a chosen list of companies rather than at individual leads. An RFP, request for proposal, is a buyer's formal list of questions that sellers answer to bid for a deal. GraphQL is a way for an app to ask a server for exactly the data it needs in a single request, an alternative to REST APIs.
