Two ways to get the readings

Readings come from new sensors or from the plant's own records; either way, software studies them.

Box 1 fits its own sensors on the machines, which works even on old machines that record nothing. Box 3 uses the readings the plant already collects. Both feed box 2, whose software learns what normal looks like and warns before a machine fails. Box 4 sells the platforms and devices that collect the readings. What's changing

The maintenance engineer's assistant.

Predictive maintenance often buried engineers in alerts. AI models now explain an alert, search the manuals and the plant's history, and suggest the fix. India's start-ups in this field are building such assistants.
