This is the last Market Segment of Industry Vertical 30, and of Domain VII, E-commerce, travel and logistics. It covers the logistics companies whose product is a network run by their own software:
- the express parcel companies, which move parcels across the country in a few days
- the fulfilment networks, which store a brand's stock, and pack and send its orders
- the cold chains, which keep food and medicine cold all the way
- the movers, often called packers and movers in India, who shift homes and offices
Every company named here has posted software engineering jobs in India. Famous companies that don't actively hire software engineers in India are left out. The large global operators and distributors, such as DHL, FedEx, UPS and Maersk, run their own engineering centres in India. These are global capability centres (GCCs): engineering centres that large foreign companies run in India for their own work.
This Market Segment has one sub-segment.
