Supply chain and logistics Supply chain and logistics is the software that decides what to make and stock, and then moves it. It plans supply against demand months ahead, runs the warehouse and the robots inside it, plans the trucks and finds a truck for a load, shows where a shipment is, handles the last mile to the customer's door, clears goods through ports and customs, and runs delivery networks built around software. This Industry Vertical holds the companies that build all of it.

Bengaluru leads, through Blue Yonder, a large supply-chain planning company, and Hyderabad follows through Blue Yonder's second centre and GHX. Pune holds QAD and TraceLink, Chennai holds Kaleris and Platform Science, and Delhi NCR holds the warehouse-robot maker GreyOrange and Pitney Bowes. India also builds logistics for itself, through delivery networks like Delhivery and DTDC, the truck-booking app Porter, the trucking platform Zinka Logistics Solutions and the route planner Locus.

For an engineer, this is enterprise software for big shippers. Java engineers are far more common here than at a typical product company, with cloud, .NET and test engineers behind them, and the warehouse robots bring rarer work in firmware, C/C++ and Python on machines that move.

Supply chain and logistics is one of the Industry Verticals of Domain VII, E-commerce, travel and logistics. Every company named on this page has posted software engineering jobs in India.
