- the online adviser, which recommends a policy
- the platform through which a company buys health insurance for its employees

Insurance has always been sold, rather than bought, because it is hard to understand. The agent's job was to explain it. AI models can now read a policy's fine print, and answer a buyer's question about what it covers. India's insurance regulator is also building a national marketplace, Bima Sugam, on which policies can be compared and bought. The companies here are betting that the explanation, not the comparison table, wins the sale.
