Back to the patient's booking, reminder and forms from the start of this Market Segment. Filling in forms before a visit is called intake. Keeping in touch with a patient before, during and after care is called patient engagement. Leaving hospital is called discharge.
Back to the patient's phone call from the start of this Market Segment, and the wait on hold. The companies in this sub-segment answer the phone with an AI voice agent: software that speaks and listens like a person.
Five companies sell the AI receptionist: a voice agent that books and moves appointments, and answers routine questions.
American clinics lose patients because their phones are not answered. The voice agents in this sub-segment now answer in natural speech. They fill the appointment slot in the record, and pass on to a person only what needs a person. Most of their makers are small companies building in Bengaluru. The frontier is triage: an agent that decides how urgently a patient must be seen.
