ServiceNow engineers in the services world A role across the services world, every Company Tier together, Accenture left out. Accenture posts about three times as much ServiceNow work as the rest of the services world put together, and its ServiceNow hiring is described with the rest of its hiring on its own. The short answer ServiceNow is the platform on which large companies run their IT help desk, their requests, their changes and more and more of their other internal services. When a services firm runs a client's systems, ServiceNow is often the system the work is administered through, and when a consulting firm redesigns a client's service desk, ServiceNow is what it builds on. Outside Accenture, ServiceNow engineers are a small role in the services world, but at several times their weight at product companies. The infrastructure firms hire them at several times their services weight, Unisys above all, and the consulting arms at twice it, Deloitte and PwC above all. The giants, like IBM, TCS and Infosys, post the most in volume, at about their services weight. The postings require the ServiceNow platform and its IT service management module, with JavaScript, Flow Designer and IntegrationHub. ServiceNow held up better than most platform roles through 2026. The door is narrow at the bottom and mostly mid-level. Where the work sits The infrastructure firms run on it. In Company Tier 4, The firms that run the infrastructure, ServiceNow is several times its services weight, because it is the system a run is administered through. At Unisys it is a large part of everything the firm posts. The consulting arms build on it. In Company Tier 7, The consulting firms' engineering arms, ServiceNow is twice its services weight, at Deloitte and PwC, with EY and McKinsey posting it as a notable part of their hiring. The giants post the most in volume, at about their services weight, through IBM, TCS and Infosys. The platform houses and the mid-sized firms hire it too. NewRocket, which the narrative describes as a ServiceNow platform house, posts almost nothing else. Virtusa, ValueMomentum and Prodapt among the mid-sized firms, CGI among the foreign majors and YASH Technologies among the specialist firms hire ServiceNow engineers steadily. What the work is

ServiceNow engineering in services is building and configuring the platform. The postings require:

IT service management, the module that runs incidents, requests and changes, in most postings. JavaScript on the platform, through client scripts, script includes and GlideScript, ServiceNow's own scripting interface. Flow Designer and IntegrationHub, for automating workflows and connecting ServiceNow to other systems. Angular, HTML and CSS, for the portals people use to raise requests.

Some postings also require a cloud, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, and Power BI for reporting.

None of the ServiceNow postings ask for experience with language models.

Bengaluru has most of the work, but less of it than for services hiring as a whole, with Pune and Hyderabad behind it.

What is changing

These readings follow the record quarter by quarter, from October to December 2025, the third quarter of the financial year 2025-26, to July to September 2026, the second quarter of 2026-27. A longer record will show whether they last.

ServiceNow held up better than most platformsIts openings dipped in April to June 2026 and rose again in July to September, while services hiring overall fell in every quarter, so ServiceNow's share of services hiring nearly doubled across the record. IBM, Infosys and PwC stopped, TCS and Deloitte took overIBM, Infosys and PwC posted almost no ServiceNow work after March 2026. TCS and Deloitte posted more in July to September 2026 than in any earlier quarter.
Persistently open roles

ServiceNow jobs are persistently open about as often as services jobs overall. When one is posted again, its first and last postings are typically under three weeks apart, and rarely more than six weeks.

IBM and PwC posted the same ServiceNow job again most often, before they stopped. CGI and Unisys rarely do. ServiceNow with reporting and a cloud is hardest to find. The ServiceNow jobs posted again most often also require Power BI, Google Cloud, Java or AWS.
The door

ServiceNow's door is narrow at the bottom. Junior openings are well under the services rate, entry-level openings are as rare as everywhere in services, and mid-level openings are the clear majority.

The few juniors get in at Infosys and EY, in very small numbers. The quiet foreign majors and the consulting arms are the most mid-level. The giants and the mid-sized firms lean more senior.
In one line If you build on ServiceNow, the services world hires you at several times the rate of product companies and kept hiring you through 2026, now mostly at TCS, Deloitte and the infrastructure firms, and mostly once you have a few years of the platform behind you.
