A hospital is also a large and complicated business, with thousands of staff. This Market Segment is about the software of its operations: the part of the hospital the patient never sees. The operating theatre, the bed and the nurse's shift are a hospital's scarcest resources. They are still largely scheduled by hand, and by phone. AI models now forecast how many patients will be admitted, schedule theatres and staff, and track every instrument and pump as it moves. The hospitals that use them treat more patients in the same buildings.
