Home / GCCs / Integration developers in the GCCs
On this page
Integration developers in the GCCs A role across the GCC collection, all ten Parent Industries together. The short answer A large company runs dozens of systems, SAP for its accounts, Salesforce for its customers, Workday for its people, and many of its own. Integration developers make a company's separate systems pass data to one another, so that an order taken in one system appears in the next, using platforms built for the job, MuleSoft, Boomi and Informatica above all. At the GCCs integration on a named platform is a very small role, though several times its weight at product companies, and it belongs almost entirely to the systems centres of manufacturers. Saint-Gobain hires the most of any centre, with MuleSoft at its Mumbai centre, and Cargill, Ecolab, Amgen, MetLife and Mattel follow. The door is narrow, with almost no openings for juniors.

Much more integration work at the GCCs names no platform at all. Those postings ask for Java or .NET developers who connect business systems in code, at the banks above all, like NatWest Group, JPMorganChase and Wells Fargo, and they are described as enterprise application work under Java backend and full-stack engineers in the GCCs and .NET engineers in the GCCs.

Where the work sits The carmakers and manufacturers hold the most. Parent Industry 4, Inside the manufacturers and carmakers, posts about as many integration openings as all other industries together, at about ten times its GCC weight. Saint-Gobain posts the most, and at Saint-Gobain integration is one of the largest roles. Cargill and Ecolab follow. Elsewhere, a few centres. Among the insurers, MetLife and Arch Global Services hire integration developers above their weight. Amgen hires them among the healthcare companies, and Mattel among the retailers. The banks, which do most of their integration in ordinary code, hire very few on a named platform. (More on it in the banks' hiring, in Parent Industry 1.) By mandate, integration is the work of the systems centres. The centres Running the parent's own systems, like Saint-Gobain, Ecolab and Mattel, hire integration developers at about ten times their GCC weight. The centres that took on The whole engineering function, like Cargill, MetLife and Amgen, hire them at about their weight, and the centres Building the parent's apps and platforms, like JPMorganChase, Walmart and Societe Generale, hardly at all. What the work is

Integration on a named platform at the GCCs has three parts.

MuleSoft, which Salesforce owns, is in most of the postings, for building connections between applications as reusable services. Saint-Gobain hires the most MuleSoft developers. Informatica, for moving and transforming data between systems in bulk, at MetLife, Mattel and Societe Generale. Boomi, a cloud integration platform, mostly at Cargill.

The postings also require a cloud, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, with SQL, Java and a deployment pipeline.

None of these postings ask for experience with AI models.

Mumbai holds far more of this work than of GCC hiring, through Saint-Gobain, and Hyderabad more too. Bengaluru holds far less.

What is changing

These readings follow the record quarter by quarter, from October to December 2025, the third quarter of the financial year 2025-26, to July to September 2026, the second quarter of 2026-27. A longer record will show whether they last.

Integration grew from very littleOpenings rose to April to June 2026, mostly through a burst of hiring at Saint-Gobain, and fell less than GCC hiring in July to September, so the role ended the record at its largest share of GCC hiring.
Persistently open roles

Integration jobs stay open more often than GCC jobs overall, the most of any platform role. When one is posted again, its first and last postings are typically about three weeks apart, and nine in ten are within about six weeks. MuleSoft jobs are the ones posted again most often, and the manufacturers keep integration jobs open longest.

The door

Integration's door is narrow. There are almost no junior openings, mid-level openings are the clear majority, and staff-level openings are few. The only juniors are a couple at Ecolab.

In one line If you build integrations in MuleSoft, Boomi or Informatica, the GCCs have a few experienced roles for you, at the systems centres of Saint-Gobain, Cargill and Ecolab above all, and if you connect systems in Java or .NET code, the banks have far more. Terms used on this page Mandate The kind of work a parent company gives its engineering centre in India, such as building its apps and platforms, running its own systems, or testing software built elsewhere. Integration Making a company's separate systems pass data to one another automatically. MuleSoft Salesforce's platform for connecting applications through reusable services. Informatica A platform for moving and transforming data between systems in bulk. Boomi A cloud platform for connecting applications and data. Enterprise application work Building and connecting a company's business systems in ordinary code rather than on a packaged platform.
